Can you recognise classmates in rare photos of 1964?

Holy angels: The boys at the The First Holy Communion celebration at St Peter’s College in 1964.

Like a blast from the past, rare 56-year-old old negatives of photographs taken at the First Holy Communion of students of St Peter’s College have surfaced.

The black and white photos were taken on December 6, 1964, by the father of Anura Perera who was one of the recipients of the holy communion. Mr Perera’s hobby was photography and these priceless photos are being shared for all Peterites to enjoy.

Charinde Perera, the St Peter’s cricket captain of 1977 and classmate of Anura, sent these photos for posting on the website. Charinde has numbered some of the students in the photos and has started a database, so names can be attached to them. He has requested those who can recognise the boys in the photos to share their knowledge.

Charinde can be contacted at the following email charinde.perera@gmail.com

A version of the spreadsheet can be found on Google Sheets so names can be added directly.
